Housing and Economic Development
Our goal is to develop "trully affordable" housing in the York County area. Property values in this area are impacted by the Charlotte MSA making so called "affordable rents" climb higher each year and less affordable for most in the lowest income brackets.

Genesis Place Apartments
We purchased the old Midtown Apartments in partnership with the Community Development and Improvement Corporation of Aiken, SC for the purpose of providing trully affordable housing to the community, reduceing the crime rate on the property and providing children and family programs to the residents while making physical improvements to the property.
We have succeeded in maintaining trully affordable rents, reducing the crime rate by removing the criminal element from the property and forming a Residents Association and we have worked with the Midtown Ministries to enhance and expand programs for children and adults. However, we have not been able to secure funding for the much needed physical improvements to the property. We are currently seeking a developer that will partner with us on this project.

Chestnut House
We have purchased the house on Chestnut St. in Rock Hill to be used as affordable housing for men. It is set up as 5 individual units with bedroom and bath. Our primary tenants will be men enrolled in our NewStart for Men program.
The house needs some renovation and we are happy to announce that the North Rock Hill Church has recntly adopted it as a project and will provide a Complete Home Make Over In March.
